03 Silverado Snifting Lever Will Not Change Gears
Q: Non shifting into college gears - 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
I put the vehicle in drive it will become and brand it due south offset gear shift, however as I progressively get going faster the engine will rev up, the oil gauge spikes up and it doesn't shift, I let off the accelerator and it will shift. I can't go going any faster so lx mph and at that speed the rpms are around 3500 and information technology won't shift into any more than of the college gears. I don't hear any rattling, or clumping, nor do I have whatsoever light due south on the dashboard lit up.
My motorcar has 74000 miles.
My car has an automated transmission.
Recommended Services
Information technology sounds to me similar your are having a bit of transmission trouble. Beginning, check the level and condition of the transmission fluid. If the fluid is dark and burned, at that place may exist a mechanical failure within the unit. If the fluid is clean, there problem might be electric. A faulted speed sensor signal is an instance of something that might cause the manual to get confused. This type of problem will require thorough visual inspection and testing to confirm the actual problem. I would recommend having a certified professional person, like 1 from YourMechanic, to diagnose the shifting trouble and follow through with repairs.
